Impressive 360-degree street art wrapped onto a 33-meter-high old water tower in Nanning city, in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The artist/s utilised the windows of the old water tower to create impressive 3D-bird cages. Amongst other motifs there is also an owl holding a key in its beak. Captured on film on May 20, 2024. The mural includes a tram to commemorate this means of transport which used to pass from Ħamrun on its way to Valletta.

Girl with Balloon (also, Balloon Girl or Girl and Balloon) is a series of stencil murals around London by the graffiti artist Banksy, started in 2002. They depict a young girl with her hand extended toward a red heart-shaped balloon carried away by the wind. The locations for this work include street murals in Shoreditch and the South bank in London on the Waterloo Bridge and other murals were around London, though none remain there.
A 2017 Samsung poll ranked Girl with Balloon as the United Kingdom's number one favourite artwork.

This floor mosaic was discovered in 1993 during the construction of the New Library of Alexandria in Egypt. It is dated to the II-I century BC.
The Swiss-French border cuts right through the Hôtel Arbez Franco-Suisse at exactly the left edge of the facade painting. This territorial border was established in 1862 by the International Treaty of Dappes, when the town of La Cure ceased to be entirely French but got subdivided together with Switzerland, yet leaving the existing structures in place.
Later a French businessman took advantage of this unique geo-political situation, and built a hotel above a grocery store located on the Swiss side of the border, and over an existing pub on the opposite French side.
Human rights activist and 2022 Nobel Prize winner Ales Bialiatski is currently on trail in Belarus. Bialiatski founded Viasna, Belarus' most prominent human rights organization.
Bialiatski, along with his Viasna co-workers Valentin Stefanovich and Vladimir Labkovich, were taken into custody in July 2021, amid a wave of anti-government demonstrations against Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko. The trio were originally detained on tax evasion charges, but are now facing between seven to 12 years in prison on the charges of smuggling money to finance opposition activists.
The largest mural painting in the world is in Mexico
The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) is not your average university. The school, based in Mexico City, was founded in 1551 by King Philip II of Spain (then called the Royal Pontifical University of Mexico) and is the oldest university in North America. Today it is the largest university in Mexico with a strong focus on research and cultural impact. UNAM is not just for students. History-loving visitors to Mexico City will also enjoy visiting this prestigious school.
The main attraction for visitors is to see the campus of Chuo University, which was not built until the 1950s. The Central University campus is a work of art in itself thanks to its modern architecture, which feature huge blocks of buildings with sides adorned with murals by Diego Rivera, Diego Alfaro Siqueiros and other notable artists is. The images posted here feature architect Juan O´Gorman´s mural paintings adorning the University's Central Library. This work covers all four walls of the building, meshing seamlessly with the façade's windows. This is the largest mural in the world, composed of natural coloured stones, to be found only in Mexico.
All the murals (measuring 43,000 square feet) were made out of no less than 3 million pieces of coloured natural rocks. Thanks to its artistic flair and history, the campus is a UNESCO World Heritage Site of Humankind.
