From 1310 AD until 1522 AD, the island of Rhodes was a sovereign territorial entity of the Knights Hospitaller, who had settled on the island arriving from Palestine and from Cyprus.
Mount Fanjing is the highest peak of the Wuling Mountains in southeastern China, and perched on its very top is the incredible Fanjingshan Buddhist Temple. This mountain is considered sacred in Chinese Buddhism, and indeed the name "Fanjing" is an abbreviation of "Fantian Jingtu", or "Brahma's Pure Land".
