This is a large, fiery, and rare specimen of Precious Opal fossilized wood out of the Miocene epoch (20 M.Y.A.), and comes from the famous Virgin Valley Opal area in Humbolt County, Nevada. It features a large intact section of fossilized wood that has been replaced with beautiful "Honey, and Jelly" Precious Opal. Make no mistake this piece is gem/museum quality displaying every colour of the rainbow throughout the large section.
