    Joseph Gatt Yes, I remember them. Those coins were actually better because they were distinguishable from one another, owing to noticeable differences in weight, colour, size and shape --- unlike the current Euro set! 🙁

  • Timmy Walsh These coins were used when Malta adopted the decimal currency in 1972, right up to 2007, when the Euro was adopted. There were 10 mils in one cent, and 100 cents in one Maltese Lira.
