Joseph Gatt This is Palazzo Messina, situated on a street corner between Strada San Cristoforo and Republic Street, Valletta, a few doors away from Casa Rocca Piccola. It’s a 16th-century palace that once was part of a grander palace called Casa Rocca Grande. It has been occupied by the German-Maltese Circle since 1975.

The area that is proposed for zoning currently acts as a buffer zone between the hamlets of Nigret and Bubaqra. The proposed rezoning of the area would pave the way for the development of 11,500sq.m of agricultural land.
